Attractive and of a unique design, the original Hedgehog House provides a safe habitat for hedgehogs in the garden. Suitable for hibernation, breeding and Summer shelter.

Heavy construction from durable timbers gives strength and longevity. Roof is double skinned for insulation and weather protection, whilst the raised timber floor keeps damp out.

Its robust, all-screwed construction withstands crushing/strimming. A specially constructed entrance porch allows the hedgehog in but deters predators. Completing the unit is a hinged door at the back for annual cleaning and inspection of sick or rescued hedgehogs.

Siting:Locate within cover, out of prevailing wind. Pile leaves and short grass around the House plus two hand fulls of short dry grass and leaves inside the box to start nest.

Because many species of creature are constantly seeking refuge and safe nesting sites, you may find that an unexpected species is using your product - this is part of nature and all species should be welcomed as part of your wildlife garden.
